PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Real-Time Platform Simulator
SystemLab PS® provides engineers the tools to create interoperable complex electronic platforms or
system of systems by providing real-time electronics simulation of high-fidelity models with extraordinary
visibility and control into every signal, every memory and every line of software in platforms
such as an automobile, airplane, satellite, or communication systems.
SystemLab PS real-time fully functional models provide visibility and control so engineers are able to
debug complex electronics and software using system level tools such as multiple hardware and
software triggers, bus or signal trace, performance monitoring, and fault injection without damaging
physical hardware. The scalability and configurability of SystemLab PS sustains multiple concurrent
simulations of the same or different platforms so regression testing of different hardware or
software versions can be performed simultaneously. SystemLab PS is a virtual System-Integration-
Lab (SIL) that compliments existing Physical SILs.
Industry First Capabilities
- Large Scale Electronic Platform Simulation
SystemLab PS simultaneously simulates every processor, signal and every line of software of a
complex platform with no size or complexity limits.
- Real-Time, High Fidelity Modeling
SystemLab PS executes fully functional clock-cycle accurate models of complex platform electronics
running every line of actual software in real-time. “Real-time” means it operates exactly the same
as the hardware for both functionality and timing. “High-Fidelity” means the models are the design.
- Extraordinary Visibility and Control
SystemLab PS provides visibility and control into every signal, every register, every memory, every
processor and every line of software in the complex electronic platform.
- Collaboration Across Organizations and Corporate Boundaries
SystemLab PS provides multiple users in multiple locations access to simulate, control and visualize
the design of the complex electronic platform while protecting IP by customizing the high-Fidelity
model visibility from white box to grey box to black box by user.
Features
SystemLab PS® models can be generated by using library elements or elements developed by CPU Tech as a service. As with physical
hardware, the first time a model is invoked, the drivers, RTOS and application software must be loaded. Unlike hardware, System-
Lab PS allows configurations to be changed and saved throughout the design process.
SystemLab PS employs a Client-Server architecture with multiple clients. Engineers with varied domain knowledge can concurrently
access a given model executing software and work collaboratively. Different software loads, including diagnostics and tests
as well as different environmental conditions, can run in parallel using multiple instantiations of the model. SystemLab PS
augments development processes and environments already in place.
