Ed King
Board Chairman

Edward King has over twenty-five years of industry experience with CPU Tech, NCR and Burroughs. The inventor/co-inventor of many pending and issued processor and System-on-a-Chip design patents, Mr. King founded CPU Technology, Inc. in 1989.

Clay Johnson
CEO, Board Member

Clay Johnson has more than 25 years of experience in semiconductors and development tools. He spent more than sixteen years at Xilinx in a variety of senior management positions. His last position was VP/GM of the General Products Division. Mr. Johnson joined CPU Technology in 2008.

Alan Smith
Chief Technical Officer, Board Member

Alan Smith is responsible for the Architecture Board and Processor Development. He has over twenty years of experience in designing complex processors with C&T, IBM, and JETAS. Mr. Smith is the co-inventor/inventor of many pending and issued patents. He has been a member of the executive team at CPU Tech since its founding.

Susan King
Co-Founder, Director

Susan King was responsible for all corporate-level financial activities and administrative functions, including Human Resources and Facilities, from CPU Technology's inception in 1989 until November, 2003. During this period, she was instrumental in the design and construction process of multiple corporate office locations in Pleasanton and in Reston. Mrs. King received her B.S. in Applied Economics from the University of San Francisco and is certified in Human Resource Management from California State University, Hayward..

L. William Krause
Director

Bill Krause has most recently been Chairman of the Board of Caspian Networks, an IP networking systems provider, since April 2002 and CEO from April 2002 until June 2004. Previously Mr. Krause was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of internet outsourcing firm Exodus Communications, which was purchased by Cable & Wireless.

Mr. Krause may be best known for his role as president and CEO of 3Com Corporation through the company's high growth years in the 1980s.  Under his leadership, 3Com grew from a venture capital funded start-up to become a $600M publicly traded data networking company with operations worldwide. Mr. Krause was also chairman of 3Com's board from September 1987 to September 1993 when he retired. Previous to 3Com, Mr. Krause spent 14 years at Hewlett-Packard in various marketing and general management assignments, including overall responsibility for the company's personal computer business. Mr. Krause has been president of LWK Ventures, a private investment firm, since 1991.

Peter Malone
Director

Since 1985, Peter Malone has been Managing Director of CSP Associates, Inc. CSP is a leading strategy advisory firm, specializing in the aerospace, defense and information technology sectors. The firm provides strategic advisory services to major industrial corporations, foreign and domestic governments and financial investors. While continuing to lead CSP's defense practice -- and retaining a strong interest in national security policy -- Mr. Malone has in recent years been principally engaged in the firm's very active transaction advisory practice. Since 1991, CSP Associates has provided advisory services in respect of nearly 350 aerospace, defense or information technology transactions. Mr. Malone also currently serves on the Board of Directors of ILC Industries, Inc. (a Behrman Capital portfolio company).

N. Price Paschall
Director

Price Paschall has over 17 years of investment banking experience providing clients both large and small in all areas of corporate finance including M&A advisory, private placements of debt and equity, LBOs and MBOs. During the 17 years, Mr. Paschall has started two successful investment banking firms.

In 1983, Mr. Paschall co-founded Shea Paschall & Co which later came to be known as Shea, Paschall and Powell-Hambros Bank (SPP Hambros & Co.). SPP Hambros & Co. handled U.S. investment banking activity for Hambros group (recently sold to Societe Generale), a U.K. based, multi-billion dollar merchant bank. Mr. Paschall held the position of Vice Chairman at SPP Hambros & Co. where he headed many of their corporate finance transactions both in the US and International.

In 1992, Mr. Paschall founded Context Capital Group, which was established to provide merger & acquisition advisory services to middle market companies. As the firm grew, Context Capital continued to provide M&A advisory services as its primary focus along with structured finance services (including private placements of equity and debt, LBOs and MBOs), valuations, and other tailored strategic financial advisory services. Mr. Paschall has dedicated his time building an investment banking firm that provides tailored, comprehensive corporate finance services to private and public middle market companies.

Mr. Paschall also currently serves as a director of Advanced Materials Group Inc. (OTC.BB: ADMG) and Xtrana, Inc. (OTC.BB: XTRN). Mr. Paschall holds a degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic University in Pomona. He is also a frequent speaker at industry and professional conferences.

Claudius E. Watts (Bud)
Director

Claudius (Bud) E. Watts IV is a Managing Director at the Carlyle Group focused on U.S. buyout opportunities in the information technology, aerospace, and defense industries. He is based in Charlotte.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Watts was a Managing Director in the First Union Securities, Inc. M&A group, (formerly Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co.) where he led the firm's Defense, Aerospace and Technical Services group. Prior to attending business school, Mr. Watts was a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force. During his service, he was qualified as an instructor pilot in both the F-16 and A-10 aircraft and served in a number of leadership and operations management positions in the United States and abroad.

Mr. Watts earned a B.S. in electrical engineering cum laude from The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Mr. Watts is also on the Board of Directors of Firth Rixson Ltd., Jazz Semiconductor, Inc. and SS&C Technology, Inc.

Patrick McCarter
Director

Mr. McCarter is a Vice President in the Technology Buyout Group. Since joining Carlyle in 2001, he has been involved in the investments in Open Solutions, Freescale Semiconductor, Jazz Semiconductor, Firth Rixson, and Sippican. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. McCarter was with Morgan Stanley & Co. in New York, where he focused on financial institutions and Carlson Capital, a hedge fund based in Dallas, TX. Mr. McCarter received his B.S. with a double major in industrial engineering and economics from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
