The test package, called Behavioral Verification Technology™, is designed to reveal bugs in software logic models, further enhancing IBM's ability to design and build top-quality, industry-standard microprocessors.

Behavioral Verification Technology (BVT) comprehensively and automatically ensures products are compliant with specifications and industry standards. Designers using BVT are able to rapidly identify and fix bugs early in the design cycle, as well as test the physical devices. BVT can be applied to any microprocessor, software of system with defined specifications and measurable results.
